1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo from Google when you sign in
• Availability data: Dates, times, and notes about when you're free
• Event data: Events you create or express interest in
• Social connections: Your friend connections within the app
• Instagram Direct Messages: When you message our Instagram bot, we collect the content of your messages (text, images, and links), your Instagram user ID, and Instagram username. Images are stored as encoded data to extract event details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the service
• Show your availability to friends you've connected with
• Display events and allow you to express interest
• Send notifications about friend requests and events (if enabled)
• Improve and develop the service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your availability is shared only with friends you've accepted, according to the visibility settings you choose. Public events may be visible to all users.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth: For authentication
• Google Calendar: For calendar sync (optional, with your permission)
• Meta Platform (Instagram): We receive messages you send to our Instagram bot via the Instagram Messaging API. Your Instagram user ID is used to link your Instagram account to your Grow account. Message content (text and images) is processed to extract event details.
• AI Services: For extracting event details from images and text you submit, including content sent via Instagram Direct Messages. Your message content is sent to AI providers for processing and is not used to train AI models.

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Control who sees your availability through visibility settings

8. Instagram Data Deletion

If you have interacted with our Instagram bot, you can request deletion of your Instagram-related data at any time. This includes all messages you've sent to the bot, any images stored from those messages, and the link between your Instagram and Grow accounts.

To request deletion, you can:

• Use the "Unlink Instagram" feature in the Grow app
• Contact us at isabella@lilachouse.io
• Submit a request through Instagram's app settings (Meta will notify us automatically)

Data deletion requests are processed promptly. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
